I painted my first nesting doll in 1992. I used as a template a Sergiev PosadĀ flower design matryoshka doll. The nesting doll was far from perfection but I liked the process of painting and continued to work. Since that time I painted nesting dolls in different styles and with different subjects – tales and miniature topics, animals, historical personages. Beside nesting dolls I painted wooden Christmas ornaments, Easter eggs, musical boxes, brooches, braceletsĀ and other painted jewelry.
