Annotation: A very rare book that changed the worldview of Bobby Fischer. Bobby Fischer always carried this book with him when he was little and read it over and over and over again. This book focuses on the initial stage of the opening game. It is known that the opening has always aroused particular interest among chess players. After all, everyone who sits down at the chessboard wants to “correctly” and strongly play a chess game. In the book, the authors tried to reflect the modern understanding of a number of key issues in the general theory of the opening and its connection with the middle game. Guided by the general ideas outlined in this work, the author, in the second part of the book – Ragozin’s Defence, analyzes in detail one particular opening. The main strategic and positional ideas of this opening are offered to the reader’s attention, their practical implementation is shown.
