The size: width 76.7″, depth 37.4″.

 The shawl is made of woolen and semi-woolen yarn of the same weight – 400m / 100g. Total used 450 g.

 The required yarn:
– black yarn – 250 g;
 multicolored yarn remains – 200 g.

The required materials and tools:
– 2.5 mm crochet hook;
– durable light-colored fabric (size 78.7″ x 39.3″);
– piece of dense furniture foam rubber 19.6″ x 19.6″, 2.7″ – 3.9″ width;
– tapestry needle;
– spool of light-colored sewing thread;
– pin set;
– stitch marker.

More information about the used materials (personal experience):
1. The durable light-colored fabric. I recommend choosing a non-stretch, durable fabric in light colors. It can be 2 or 3-ply cotton fabric for bedding, a linen tablecloth, or, for example, a cotton summer cover that I used in this pattern.
2. The piece of dense furniture foam rubber is required in working on Irish lace. Put it under the base pattern when assembling motifs into a single canvas. You can use a tightly padded cushion, a removable section of the required size from a set of upholstered furniture, or a piece of construction foam.
3. The round head pins are more convenient in use. They can not injure the palms, as you assembly them to the fabric, do not fall through crochet garment, and can be easily and quickly removed or replaced.

Note!
1. Freeform is a fantasy crochet technique that does not imply exact patterns and a step-by-step description of the process. Your own experience and art intuition will be more valuable than the charts. You can graphically represent the crochet principle (method). Therefore, all proposed charts are fundamental, methodical, and general.
2. You can change the shawl size to your choice by decreasing or increasing the base pattern.
3. When working with rayon, silk, bamboo, polyamide yarn – use a smaller crochet hook and work tighter than usual.
