Artel made antique Soviet chess set 1950s. Rare chess set. Old grandmaster chess USSR.
Industrial and cooperative artel “Koopermuzyka” (later – Zvenigorod factory of cultural goods No. 1), Zvenigorod city, Moscow region.
One of the best sets of chess pieces of the 1950s in the USSR.
Such chess sets had been producing in more simplified form since 1960s already.
Good knights. Weighted chess pieces. Wide base of the figures.
Size:
Board is 40×40 cm.
King is 102 mm.
Pawn is 56 mm.
Weight is almost 1.4 kg.
Damages: brown king has no its final, three black pieces: pawn, rook and queen are from the same style similar chess set. It took a long time really to find the similar spare chess pieces for the set. The difference is minimum and absolutely does not catch the eye since after all spare parts from similar chess set.
