Aron Nimtsovich is one of the strongest chess players of his time. His contribution to the development of world chess can hardly be overestimated – his considerations about the figure center, pawn attacks, blockade, prevention, playing on squares of the same color gave impetus to the whole chess movement called ultramodernism, his ideas are behind the opening revolution of the 20th century.
