This rare collectable bakelite chess clock was produced in 1960th in Orel (USSR) on the Jantar clock factory that was founded in 1950. In 2004, the company was bought by ALMAZ-HOLDING LLC, which distributed the property among other companies. Watch production subsequently ceased. Therefore clock produced on the factory are rare.
The clock is in used condition, the case is beautifully preserved, I couldn’t find any chips or cracks, there are minor scuffs on the top. Clock is in working condition, however needs servicing as it was kept for a long time without usage.
Clock is made of bakelite and has a metal plaque with a dedication in the front, saying “To the future chess champion Valentyna”, dated 5th of May 1969.
