Georgy Mikhailovich Lisitsyn (1909 – 1972) – Soviet chess player, master of sports, international master. Chess theorist and writer. Member of 10 USSR championships.
Annotation: A beginning chess player quickly realizes the need to study opening theory. But fulfilling these intentions on your own is much more difficult. At first, a chess player can limit himself to a very small opening repertoire. Then, you need to study the minimum required number of systems. The main thing is to know the basic, fundamentally important continuations. G. M. Lisitsyn suggests, playing White, to start the game with the move 1. e2-e4 (this recommendation is quite justified methodically) and gives on a limited number of pages everything that must be taken into account.
