This is the pattern for a fun and quick knit colorwork hat with a simple pattern. “Yolki hat” is a hat that you’ll enjoy knitting again and again.
The hat is worked in Aran, Worsted or DK weight yarn circularly from the bottom up.
You may knit the hat with a permanently folded brim or a simple double brim. Permanently folded brim is worked beginning with a Provisional Cast On, then ribbing twice as long as desired, and working one round to join the live sts at the cast on edge to the live sts on needles. The rest of the hat is worked as usual.

Originally Alize Lanagold Classic (49% wool, 51% acrylic, 240 m/100 g) was used.

Size US 2.5/3 mm or size needed for gauge 40 cm/16” circular needles for ribbing
Size US 4/3.5 mm or size needed for gauge 40 cm/16” circular needles for body
Size US 4/3.5 mm or size needed for gauge, DPNs or circular 80-120 cm/32-47” needles (magicloop method) for crown
(optional) Size US 2.5/3 mm or smaller circular knitting needles, any length
NOTIONS
crochet 3-3.5 mm, waste yarn 2-3 m long, 1 BOR marker, 8-10 additional markers (optional), scissors, tapestry needle, knitting thimble (optional), pom pom maker (optional)
