Hand Embroidered Luna Moth PDF Pattern

Embroidered Luna moth, this PDF digital embroidery pattern includes over 200 step-by-step photo instructions and a full size moth making pattern. I added a video where I show in detail all the difficult moments. Video links are in the PDF file.

Moth is embroidered using stumpwork technique. The description is based on my knowledge of embroidery and may differ from traditional methods. I will show you how to embroider the wings, how to finish the edges and how to assemble the butterfly. If you haven’t used this technique before, you may need to practice a bit. Details are very small; it requires a lot of patience and diligence.

The tutorial is more suitable for reading on a computer or tablet screen than for printing. You will need a PDF reader (such as Adobe Reader) to open and view the file.

Such a moth can be used as a brooch, hairpin, decoration for a bag, hat, home decor, curtains.
