Jesus Christ The Saviour, also known as Christ the Redeemer is one of the most famous Andrei Rublev icons, and was created around 1410-1415. Unfortunately, the original Rublev’s icon has significant damage. The bigger part of the icon is simply wiped. So I used a later copy of the icon to create this design. Christ here as Saviour expresses great love and compassion for us sinners in a face filled with light, kindness, and gentleness. In the eyes of Jesus, we find genuine humanity and unsearchable wisdom.
