The Saviour, also known as Christ the Redeemer is one of the most famous Andrei Rublev icons. The original icon of Christ the Redeemer was created approximately in 1410-1415. Unfortunately, the original Rublev’s icon of the Savior has significant damage. The bigger part of the icon is simply wiped. So I used a later copy of the icon to create this design.
Christ here as Saviour expresses great love and compassion for us sinners in a face filled with light,
kindness, and gentleness. In the eyes of the Savior, we find genuine humanity and unsearchable wisdom.
The design of the icon of Jesus Christ The Saviour is similar in size to that of the icon of the Virgin of Vladimir – https://crealandia.com/shop/virgin-of-vladimir/, allowing you to create matching banners for solemn festive processions.
The design is available in two versions of the text: English and Cyrillic.
