This is an easy level tutorial for beginners. We must learn to knit only one knot to tie the tapestry.
The PDF file (12 pages) includes step-by-step instructions with photos to create a macrame wall hanging. The first part (pages 1 – 6) describes how to tie any tapestry and shows the tapestry knot, and the second part (pages 7 – 12) shows how to tie a mushroom tapestry and a mushroom pattern.
In the second PDF file you will find a link to the video with the description of macrame tapestry knot.
For this project we will need:
1. Cotton cord 3 mm
Beige cord: 21 x 80 cm (31”) (holding cords) + 7 meters (267”) (mushroom)
Green cord: 20 meters (800”)
Red cord: 7 meters (267”)
White cord: 3 meters (118”)
2. Wooden dowel: 25 cm (10”);
3. Measuring tape;
4. Scissors.
Finished project size:
9” (23cm) width, 12” (30cm) height.
