♥ “Pumpkin Sampler” is a primitive cross stitch pattern by The Bluebird Needleworks. It is inspired by antique style marking samplers.
In sampler there is a quote by Scottish writer and poet Robert Louis Stevenson (1850-1894): «Don’t judge the day by the harvest you reap, but by the seeds that you plant”. This quote is stitched with one-over-one crosses.
If you don’t like one-over-one crosses or would like to stitch the sampler on Aida, you may use another quote: “In Everything Give Thanks” that is a Bible verse (Thessalonians 5:18 KJV). The chart of this part is given after the chart of the sampler
♥ Sizes: 145×189 stitches; 26.5 х 34.5 cm (14/28 ct), 23 х 30 cm (16/32 ct), 20.5 х 26.7 cm (18/36 ct), 18.5 x 24 cm (20/40 ct).
♥ Model is stitched on 40 ct. Picture This Plus Linen (color Legacy) using 1 strand of hand dyed floss over 2 linen threads. You may stitch the design on those fabric count that is more comfortable for you.
♥ Stitches: full crosses, one-over-one stitches, Algerian eyelets, four-sided stitches. There is a version without one-over-one stitches that is sutable for stitching on Aida fabric.
♥ Threads: 10 colors (WDW, GAST, CC) + conversion into DMC.
If you don’t want to stitch all alphabets, you may miss some of them or choose the version only with the basket and words “In Everything Give Thanks” (see the last picture).
♥ Sizes: 145×81 stitches; 26.5 х 14.5 cm (14/28 ct), 23 х 13 cm (16/32 ct), 20.5 х 11.5 cm (18/36 ct), 18.5 x 10.5 cm (20/40 ct).
