Dylon semi-fitted sweatpants are comfortable knit pants with a tapered silhouette. They are gathered at the waist with a waistband and ankle cuffs. The elasticized waistband is finished with two rows of topstitching that form a casing with a cord threaded through it. The front features inseam pockets and design lines with topstitching. The back pant features a yoke with topstitching.

Suggested fabrics:
For tailoring men’s sweatpants according to the Dylon sewing pattern, use fabrics with the following properties: a medium-weight soft knit fabrics with little, or no, stretch.
French terry, fleece, velour and sweatshirt fleece are good choices.
Lining fabric for pockets: cotton jersey.
For cuff: rib fabric
Supplies:
- Matching color threads
- 1 1/4 yard (114 m) of 13/4-inch (4.5-cm)-wide knitted elastic
- Two 3/8 inch (1-cm) (inside diameter) grommets/eyelets with the corresponding tool for installation.
- 3/8 yard (0.34 m) of 3/8-inch (1-cm)- or ½-inch (1.25-cm)-wide straight fusible stay tape; you can also cut your own using lightweight woven fusible interfacing on the straight grain.
- 2 piece of 1 x 1–inch (2.5 x 2.5–cm) lightweight woven or weft insertion fusible interfacing.
- ¼-inch (6-mm)-wide drawstring cord or ribbon as long as your waist, plus 20 inches (50 cm).
