Iberis Fichu is a crescent shawlette/shawl with large wingspan:

  • It’s knitted in one piece from the center (garter tab cast-on) to the edging worked with lace stitch patterns.
  • One size. There are 134 rows in this shawl.
  • All increases are included in stitch patterns.
  • This pattern is available in English.
  • The pattern includes both written instructions and charts.
  • Skill level: Intermediate.
  • Skills: basic knitting skills (knit, purl, ssk, sssk, k2tog, k3tog, sk2p, yo), reading charts or working with written instructions, blocking lace shawls.

You will need:
1) 130-150 gr of Fingering weight yarn with the most natural fiber content (wool, merino wool, alpaca, cotton, linen) or blend of 2 or more natural fibers. Blue sample yardage: 590 yds (540 m)
2) or 70-80 gr of Lace weight fuzzy yarn (mohair/silk blend, Suri alpaca/silk blend). Beige sample yardage: 640 yds (590 m).

Finished measurements (after blocking):
Depth 23.6 ” (60 cm),
Wingspan 63” (160 cm).

 

Notions: 40-inch (100 cm) circular needles, markers, row counter (optional), blocking pins, crochet hook (optional).
